4-year-old signs letter of intent to join Notre Dame College football team

SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio —History was made at Notre Dame College in South Euclid as the Falcons football team signed its youngest recruit ever.

“I felt like it was something that would be good for us. They talked to us about how to get him on board,” said Kyle Perkins, Notre Dame College wide receiver.

Max Peppers is behind the historical day.

“Max is a very outgoing kid. He kind of steals the spotlight when he is somewhere,” said Notre Dame quarterback Ryan Fallon.

At four years old, Max is signing his letter of intent to join the Falcons football team, but he most likely will never play football on the field.  He battles with Spinal Muscular Atrophy, a disease that causes muscle damage and weakness. Right now, he is confined to a wheelchair.
